Challenge
While using Google Maps for public transport routes in Ireland, I noticed that many of my friends (aged 20-30 and older) struggled to use the platform, often not knowing how to navigate it. One of the main difficulties was figuring out when to get off the bus without having to unlock the screen. This is where I decided to focus my efforts.

Solution
I proposed a visual map feature that can be viewed even with the screen locked. This map would display the stop points, the expected arrival time, and the bus number for getting off or transferring, eliminating the need to unlock the screen during the journey.

Approach
Tests were conducted with friends, and many started to better understand how the platform works with the visual map feature.
Design decisions
After several tests, the map was refined to include the estimated arrival/departure time, bus identification, and stop point, ensuring clarity and usability.
Result
Test users reported that the visual map made the journey much easier to understand, enhancing navigation and speeding up bus transfers during peak hours.
